Yoshinao Satoh, PAPERS

Papers is a short film by Yoshinao Satoh from Japan. To me this brain melting project personifies the Japanese way, dedication to a craft, artistry and a sizeable commitment of dedication and time. Keep in mind that this piece was produced in 1991, before digital anything camera related and much before internet, meaning all images were hand sourced, cut-out and manually photographed – before the even more time intensive sorting and arranging. The end result tells quite the tale, dancing charts, spinning heads, housing configurations, weather forecasts, you can almost feel time moving. Dedication.

Her images are tainted with a little fashion, a lot of fun, plenty of colour and just a hint of oddness.

This rad image series (Ratón Salvaje) from Spanish photographer Jaume Albert Marti reminds me of unhinged childhood excitement.
