Kazumasa Nagai
Great design from Japans Kazumasa Nagai. At 86 years young, must have been way ahead of his time. Love both the colour and composition. Found at Juxtapoz.
The Circular Calendar
Just discovered this beautiful design project – The Circular Calendar. Looks like an egg, round and encompassing life – nice one. Bit late, sold out for 2015 – will have to look out for next years version. More info here.
Brasilia
Stunning images from French photographer Marcel Gautherot taken in the 50’s during the development of the new city Brasilia, designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer to replace the then capital Rio de Janeiro. Looks super slick and modern even now. Desirable destination.
Pantone Brews
Yes I do quite like beer, and pantone colours too. So only make sense that I found these design experiments from Txaber very appealing. Beer for spaceships.
Are ya gunna?
Probably the best fancy dress outfit ever. She got loaded.
Adam Ferriss
Watch those eyes. I like, you can find more here.
The year 10,535
Well that’s looking very far ahead. How have I not heard of Don Hertzfeldt before. This is sublime. Maybe even acutely accurate. You can find more of Don’s genius at his website www.bitterfilms.com
The Duke
Just John Wayne in a pink bunny suit – that’s all. Pilgrims.
5BORONYC – VHS
As previously posted on this blog, I have a fondness for the retro tape graphics of previous decades. 5BORONYC have recently released this great VHS series of skate decks – tape decks you might say. Desirable.
A Perfect Blend
Another genius pop culture mash up involving The Simpsons. Russian designer Constantin Bolimond very cleverly blends the work of Dutch painter Piet Mondriaan with the very recognisable Homer and Marge Simpson. A perfect blend indeed.
